Warranty overview
What to know before you need support
A little reassurance goes a long way.
Furniture should arrive as described, be suitable for its intended use and meet reasonable quality expectations. If you think a component has a manufacturing fault, our customer care team can review the details and explain the next steps.
Any additional commercial warranty or guarantee offered with your purchase will have its own specified duration, included products and conditions. The terms provided at the time of purchase should be used when determining that additional cover.
Good to know: Consumer rights under UK law apply regardless of whether a separate warranty is provided.

What a warranty may cover
Illustrative categories — subject to your product’s stated terms
Bed frame structure
- Potential manufacturing defects affecting structural rails, headboard or footboard supports and centre support components.
- Issues involving essential fixings or fittings supplied with the bed, where caused by a manufacturing defect.
Ottoman mechanisms
- Manufacturing faults involving fitted hinges, supports or gas-lift components, where those parts are included in the specific product warranty.
- Stop operating the lift if it becomes unstable or behaves unexpectedly, and contact support with photographs or a short video.
Mattresses, if purchased
- Possible manufacturing faults with spring units, internal fillings, covers, seams or construction, according to the mattress’s own terms.
- Comfort preference, expected settlement and measuring thresholds vary by mattress. Consult the manufacturer’s instructions rather than assuming any universal dip allowance.
Whether a particular issue is covered will depend on the cause of the fault and the warranty supplied with the item. We may need photographs or an inspection before making an assessment.
Normal wear & exclusions
Understanding the difference between wear and a fault
Bed frames & upholstery
- Routine signs of use, such as minor surface marks, fabric pilling or natural colour variation.
- Accidental damage, spills, staining, misuse or use outside the product’s intended purpose.
- Damage linked to improper assembly, alterations, unauthorised repairs or unsuitable room conditions such as persistent damp.
- Damage occurring during moving or transportation where items are handled or packed inadequately.
Mattresses & soft furnishings
- Expected softening or minor body impressions resulting from normal use.
- Damage associated with an unsuitable or broken supporting base, spills, soiling or incorrect handling.
- Wear or damage caused by not following relevant rotation, cleaning or care guidance.
- Bedding, accessories and electrical components unless a relevant product guarantee specifically includes them.
Care & warranty conditions
Small habits that protect your bed
A practical aftercare routine
- Keep your purchase confirmation and any assembly or warranty leaflet somewhere safe. A digital copy is helpful.
- Follow the assembly instructions supplied with your exact frame and use only the correct fittings.
- Check any recommended bolt-tightening or maintenance intervals in the manufacturer’s instructions; avoid overtightening.
- Keep upholstery and storage compartments clean, dry and ventilated, and address any spills promptly using suitable care guidance.
- Use an appropriate support base for your mattress, and rotate only when its care label recommends it. Do not flip a one-sided mattress.
- For ottoman beds, observe the mattress weight limit for your model, keep fingers clear of moving parts and never use a damaged lift.
- When moving house, disassemble and package furniture appropriately; do not drag or force oversized sections.
How to make a claim
A straightforward, four-step process
Document the issue
Take an overall photograph and clear close-ups. If the problem involves moving parts, a short video may help. For a suspected mattress dip, ask support how to measure and photograph it.
Get your details together
Keep your order number, purchase date, product name and a short explanation of when the problem appeared. You can also note any checks you have already made.
Contact our care team
Use the Aven Beds contact page to report the concern. Attach supporting photographs if the contact method allows, or ask where to send them.
Review the proposed solution
Our team may request more information or an inspection. Depending on the circumstances and your rights, a suitable solution may involve a part, repair, replacement or other remedy.
Repairs, parts & returns
What happens after the issue has been reviewed
Finding the right resolution
After assessing the concern, the next step may involve replacement components, a repair, a replacement product or another remedy appropriate to the circumstances. The team will explain any collection, packaging, inspection or delivery arrangements relevant to the outcome.
For issues covered by your statutory rights: any repair or replacement required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 must be handled within a reasonable time, without significant inconvenience, and with the retailer bearing necessary costs such as labour, materials and postage.
For optional work or services that fall outside your legal entitlement and outside any applicable additional warranty, any charges should be explained for your agreement before work proceeds.

Help beyond the initial purchase
Need a replacement component?
If you need a fitting, support leg, hinge or another bed component after your additional warranty has ended, please contact customer care with your model name, order number and photographs of the part.
We can check whether the component is available and explain any applicable options or charges. Availability depends on the model and stock; we do not promise that every part will remain available for a fixed number of years.

Contact Aven Beds →Your statutory rights remain unchanged
This information concerns any additional product warranty or guarantee. Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are separate. Goods must meet the legal requirements of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and matching their description.
Where goods do not conform to those requirements, you may be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or other legal remedy, depending on the circumstances and time since delivery. A warranty term cannot remove those rights.
